What is a Thru The Years Video?
A Thru The Years video is made up of a group of pictures
of the bride and groom beginning with pictures taken soon after birth,
continuing thru the early years, school years, thru the dating years and usually
ending with the engagement picture.
The pictures are recorded to video tape along with a musical background and of
course identifying titles.
Our normal procedure is to alternate the pictures from the bride to the groom
and use our standard music. However, we can change the format to suit the
couple and of course use the music of their choice.
Usually the TTY video will run about eight minutes or so, which is a good length
of time to entertain and hold the viewers interest.
We recommend you show the video as part of the rehearsal dinner. However,
many people also show the video at the reception and we have even had the video
shown just before the wedding ceremony in churches which have audio/video
capabilities.
While most of our Thru The Years videos are prepared for
weddings the video is equally appropriate for any special occasion such as
birthdays, anniversaries, graduations, etc. A collection of old pictures
along with interviews with parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, friends and a
written script can be a family history that will be treasured for many years.
The beauty of the Thru The Years video is the emotion it evokes, from laughter,
to tears, and everything in between.
