How Much
Should I Budget
for a Professional Event Video?
A good general rule of thumb is to budget for at
least the same amount you will budget for a like quality Professional
Photographer. Some couples will spend less for videography with companies that
try to get by without back-up equipment on site, consumer, prosumer, or
industrial cameras, and like editing equipment with little or no post production
editing included in the packages, while other couples will spend thousands of
dollars more to have a large invasive camera, light, and sound crews with
multiple videographers directing their entire wedding day event. Our clients
find our approach, style, demeanor, and packages to meet their needs. Our
clients also consider the fact that we will be creating a beautifully completed
documentary film with all of the sights, sounds, and emotions of one of the most
important days of their lives. Many of our clients view our finished videos over
and over several times each year and many call or write us to say how
wonderfully emotional is was to relive their special day.
Your
wedding is a very special happening. You wouldn't have Aunt Madge make
your wedding dress just because she sews for her daughters; you wouldn't have
Aunt Diane prepare your reception dinner just because she cooks a wonderful
Thanksgiving dinner; you wouldn't have Uncle Vic take your wedding
pictures with his little brownie; so likewise you shouldn't have Uncle Charlie
with his handy camcorder video your wedding just because he shoots family video.
